Overview of Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 341

The District was initially formed on April 13, 1988 and is a conservation and reclamation district and a political subdivision of the State of Texas. It is located approximately 15 miles northwest of downtown Houston at the southeast corner of Tanner Road and North Eldridge Parkway approximately four miles north of Interstate Highway 10. The District is bounded on the south and east by the City of Houston city limits, and all land within the District is within the exclusive extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Houston.

The District contains approximately 343 acres of land and provides water, sanitary sewer, trash/recycling services and drainage facilities. The District includes Lakes on Eldridge Sections 1 through 21, which encompass approximately 263 acres of land developed into 749 single family residential lots, a 30,000 square foot shopping center, and an elementary school tract. Construction of utilities and street paving is complete within the District. Lakes on Eldridge is a gated community with controlled entrance through the main gate with a guard house. The development includes 80 acres of lakes and greenbelt areas, portions of which serve as storm water detention facilities for the District.
