MUD 341 Construction Update – Important Sidewalk Closures

Construction is proceeding at Lake G which is located at the eastern side of Turkey Creek.  The MUD has completed the pipe replacement work between Lakes G and H which is located further east of Lake G.  As part of the clean-up of that phase of the project, the damaged sidewalk between the lakes has been replaced.  The area along the pipeline right of way is now open to all residents.   The removal of the broken concrete around the edge of Lake G is also complete.  Final cleanup of that damaged area will begin soon.

The next phase of the project is the installation of the new concrete drainage lines from Lake G to Turkey Creek.  Because of the heavy equipment and large concrete pipe to be installed, the area on the east side of Turkey Creek between the footbridge and Indian Shores Lane will be closed to all foot trafficPlease see the attached map for details.  The walking bridge over Turkey Creek will be kept open, but walkers can only access the southern side of Lake G.  To walk both sides of Turkey Creek as a loop, individuals will need to use the temporary crossing of Turkey Creek near Indian Shores Lane.  This will require walking up/down the sides of the creek.  This temporary crossing should only be used with care by fully mobile individuals.

Once the work on the eastern side of Turkey Creek is completed, the project will move to the western side of Turkey Creek and the MUD will announce different sidewalk closures.  Please remember this is a dynamic construction location and temporary additional or different closures may be required.   We apologize for the inconvenience, but these drainage lines are some of the most critical drainage infrastructures in our community.  If you have any questions, please contact us at www.hcmud341.org/contact.

Thank you for your cooperation as we continue our 5-year plan to upgrade and replace aging infrastructure.
